Both modern film bases used today, Acetate and Polyester can be recovered and recycled. Industrial X-ray and Micro-copy industries produce scrap film that was exposed to toxins during the development process. In many municipalities there are disposal requirements for this scrap. The Imaging Network offers programs to aid these businesses with all of their disposal and or recycling needs.
