Aluminum Recycling

The recycling of aluminum and other ferrous metals has a tremendously positive impact on the environment. Aluminum is created by mining deposits of bauxite ore and refining with the use of electrical currents. Obviously, the less aluminum that needs to be mined and refined reduces all of the negative effects this process has on the environment. Less land is affected and pollution levels are greatly reduced. By recycling we reduce the amount of aluminum that needs to be produced, as well as conserving our precious and limited landfill space.

No one produces scrap on purpose; it is the unintended result industrialized economies that have a demand for the products being produced. The volume of scrap metals being produced in the United States alone each year would use 184,000,000 cubic yards of landfill space. This is enough scrap to cover a two lane highway from Stockholm to New York at a depth of 10 feet. It is estimated that by recycling aluminum, energy savings can be has high as 95%. With such a high volume of scrap and so many positive benefits it only makes sense to recycle.

The Imaging Network can aid businesses in three areas of Aluminum recycling:

  1. Pick up
  2. Transportation
  3. Providing Storage Containers

We can arrange pick up and transportation of your scrap to the proper waste management facility. They'll also provide you with storage containers to store your scrap between pickups. Various sizes are available. When arranging for pickup of aluminum, businesses can also arrange pick up of other scrap metals as well. The Imaging Network pays by the pound at current market value and in many cases will issue the business owner a check immediately.
